It’s interesting because I’ve found my perspective of myself to be no more objective or reliable than anyone else’s. And surprisingly, that’s the freedom we’ve been looking for. When we realise there’s no security ‘out there’ (which includes ourselves) we’re dropped back into our essential nature – the only thing (or no-thing) that has never changed, fluctuated or gone anywhere. That’s where grounded confidence is, unreliant on the ever-changing world.
